The $60.00 late fee can only be waived for City Vehicle Stickers purchased in-person at City Clerk offices or City of Chicago Finance Department offices by a customer who – at the time of purchase – can prove either:

1. He/she is a new resident, by providing documentation of purchase of property or rental agreement executed in the last 30 days for a location within Chicago, or
2. The vehicle is newly acquired by the resident, by providing a copy of proof of purchase or a lease agreement executed within the last 30 days.
