Senior Citizen Discount
“My renewal form doesn’t show the $30.00 price. How can I still get my senior discount?”
Chicago seniors are guaranteed a senior discount for one vehicle.
If you received a 2013-2014 Chicago City Vehicle Sticker Senior Renewal Form without the senior discount applied to the cost of the 2013-2014 Chicago City Vehicle Sticker, you will receive your senior discount as outlined by City ordinance (see below).
If the price is printed incorrectly on your renewal form, to ensure you receive your discount, please choose one of the following options:
1.) To purchase in person …
Bring a copy of your current, valid Illinois driver’s license to ensure you receive your discount when you purchase in person. This guarantees you will receive your senior discount at a Ward Sale, City Clerk or Department of Finance office, or one of more than 400 local community vendors, including Dominick’s and currency exchanges.
2.) To purchase via mail …
Seniors should mail in with their renewal form, a $30.00 check (or $55.00 if also purchasing annual residential parking; or $71.00 if purchasing annual residential parking AND guest passes), and a copy of the front of their Illinois driver’s license.
The senior discount will be applied when the renewal is processed.
