Large passenger vehicles

PLEASE NOTE: If you feel you received a large passenger renewal application through the mail in error, show proof when purchasing your vehicle sticker in the form of a copy of your insurance card (for make/model discrepancies) and/or manufacturer's listing of correct curb weight (to verify that your vehicle is less than 4,500 lbs.).

In November 2003, legislation was passed by the Chicago City Council establishing a new sticker type (LP) for Large Passenger vehicles. Those passenger vehicles that have a curb weight of 4,500 lbs. and above will be affected by this legislation. The cost of this sticker is $120.00 (effective January 1st, 2008).

* The following makes and models of vehicles will require the $120.00 LP vehicle sticker during the upcoming 2008-2009 sticker year:
