FAFSA Assistance

City Clerk Susana A. Mendoza is committed to helping young Chicagoans on their path to higher education.

Clerk Mendoza has partnered with Ladder-Up (a Chicago-area non-profit) to host workshops to help Chicagoans complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. FAFSA is an application administered by the U.S. Department of Education. It is required for a student to receive any state/federal loans, grants and scholarships.

The workshops are FREE and occur on Tuesday evenings, February 5 through April 9, 5:30-7:30pm, at City Hall, Room 107, 121 North LaSalle St.

No registration is required. Students and their parents are encouraged to stop by and take advantage of the free assistance program.

For more information, including a complete list of items needed when attending the sessions, please download the 2013 FAFSA Program Flyer, or contact Ladder Up at: 312-409-1555.
